Eighth Grade Language Arts
Teacher: Mrs. Leah Seeburger
The eighth grade Language Arts course consists of an hour and a half block period that meets five times a week. The students will be reading novels, short stories, non-fiction, poetry and drama. They will strengthen their reading and reading comprehension skills through Sustained Silent Reading. Students will work on their writing skills through summarizations, journals and writing five paragraph essays. This course also focuses on grammar and vocabulary.
